The conversation I had with the pharmacist while picking up the second round of antibiotics last week:

her: Okay, so this is an antibiotic. You need to take it once a day for five days. You can't drink at all for those five days or for three days following. Don't even take cough syrup.

me: That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.

her: I'm serious. Don't drink for eight days. You will get very sick.

me: This is like a lifestyle change. Is there a different antibiotic I can take?

her: Just don't drink.

me: Does it come with therapy?

her: That'll be $10.
