waiter: sure. But have you tried our pumpkin pancakes? They're wonderful.
you: I'll stick with gingerbread.
waiter: and you?
me: I'll have a shortstack of gingerbread pancakes.
waiter: okay.

waiter leaves. conversation resumes. waiter returns.

waiter: you know, on the shortstack you can get two different pancakes, and I find that gingerbread and pumpkin are a great mix.
me: sounds divine.
waiter: awesome.
