I was hanging out with friends last night and, as always, conversation turned to who's getting married and who's making babies. It seems like it's all my friends want to talk about. I don't really have any exciting announcements to make about those things so I just waited for a lull in the conversation and then said, "I just joined Netflix!"

Eventually talk shifted to ideal baby genders. Everyone had an opinion on what gender they want their first child to be. Someone turned to me, "What about you, Alana, what do you want your first kid to be?" I said, "I don't know. A puppy?"
