Now that the marathon is approaching, everyone seems to have a lot of advice for me. Most of it is not helpful, given that my training is basically over and I'm now tapering before race day. I can't really start training hills now that I'm no longer training.
My favorite recurring piece of advice comes from a co-worker. He tells me I should just run faster. It will be better on my joints if I can run the marathon in 3:30 instead of 4:30. Just run faster!
Which reminds me of the time when my Dad told me that I should get on Letterman.
I realize that both of these would be good things to do, but, um...it takes a while to get there kids.
