There are two sets of windows in my office, both on the same wall. I have a view of the Central Artery and all of its Big Dig construction, as well as the water and some office buildings. I'm staring out one set of windows watching the clouds being blown in the wind. They're moving so quickly it looks like time-lapse photography. But when I look out the other set of windows, the clouds don't appear to be moving at all. It's like I have two television sets showing the different scenes of the same movie.

The audition was amazing last night. There was a nice-sized audience, especially given the slush that was rapidly accumulating on the ground. The show itself was as wonderful to watch as it was to be a part of. There's something so satisfying about watching people do their audition sets. You see people messing around on stage all the time, trying out new jokes and facial expressions, but when you see it come together into a tight set it's like watching a miniature explosion of goodness in the room.

I walked off the stage feeling on top of the world, satisfied that I couldn't have done a better job than I did--which was a relief, given how I bombed like nobody's business while practicing my set the night before. So, whatever comes of the audition (and I hope that what comes of it is several of us getting called back and then being asked to do Montreal...) I know I can think about last night and say, "It's already been broughten."
