My conversation with one of the comics before the show last night.

Him: I think my comedy is more like female comedy, you know?

Me: What do you mean?

Him: You know, I'm more about the conversation and less about the joke writing. You don't really hear about women being called good writers, they're always called good performers. Same with black comics. Good performers.

Me: I don't really know about that.

Him: Come on.

Me: Well, for example...I have never been called a "good performer."

Him: Well, yeah, but you go out of your way to write good jokes.
