But it's a joke, right?

Subject: Red Sox Appreciation Day!!!

Ladies and Gentleman,

Tomorrow will be a Red Sox Appreciation Day. Basically it means that you can wear in your favorite Red Sox apparel (shirt and hat) with a nice pair of jeans. However, there are some simple guidelines that must be followed. First, absolutely no Yankee apparel is allowed. Second, the shirt has to be in good condition and look appropriate for the workplace. That means no shirts from 1918 with holes and stains, or any shirt talking about the Yankees ( For example, Yankees suck).

In order to keep days like this alive and our weekly jeans day please dress appropriately. [The boss] has been very generous to let us wear them even though [company] policy is NO JEANS

So please don't abuse it or we lose it. You know what I mean [name of employee deleted]...

Kind Regards,
****
