This morning I told Lancelot Freud about my daily Lance-thermometer. I told him that on a daily basis I think about how much I like him, and that his rating is very low lately. I also told him that I was not happy with his decision to go on a year-long sabbatical. His sabbatical begins in two months and I would describe it as very bad timing. I told him that even though he hasn't said so, I am perfectly aware of the fact that it is because of me that he feels the need to quit the business entirely. He said, "That is BRILLIANT! It isn't correct, but it is BRILLIANT!" We then spent the rest of my fifty-minute hour discussing all of the ways that I hate him and therapy and also all of the ways that my idiocy has single-handedly driven him from the psychology biz. It was a fine morning.

I am perfectly aware that this is one of my top ten most boring posts.
