"Over the river and through the woods
to Dunkin' Donuts we go!
We all know the way
To carry the sleigh.
To pick up a Box o' Joe!
It warms your nose,
fingers and toes.
As over to Dunkin' we go!"

...is what it says on my coffee cup this morning.

It's not that I was expecting Shakespeare, or Plath, or Olds, or Soto, but if you're gonna spend the marketing dollars on a Christmas cup, at least make it meter, or something. Just make it less crappy. There are also things on it that say "Glazed Lake" and "Hazelnut Hill" and "Chocolate town" and "Lemon Valley." Oh! and "Dunkin' Donuts!" there's a sign next to a little house and apparently that little house is a DUNKIN' DONUTS!

I remember the good old days, when I used to skate over Glazed Lake and drag my sled up one side of Hazelnut Hill. I would sled down the other side, and pick up enough speed to pass straight through Chocolate town into Lemon Valley. Once I was in Lemon Valley I would be so overcome by the delicious smell of coffee and donuts that I would follow the smell to this unmarked house. And inside this house was a magical Dunkin' Donuts!
