The fake snowflakes are up! The fake snowflakes are up! It's official! The six foot fake snowflakes with reflective mirrors are up in the entry way! And they've stopped the indoor waterfall and put the big fake Christmas tree with the big fake nutcrackers and big fake presents in the middle of the lobby! And they've put big fake wreaths in the elevator banks with big fake words like "JOY" and "HOPE"! 'Tis the season!

This year I am celebrating Kwanzaa. My mom gave me a Kwanzalabra for Christmas last year (no irony intended I am sure) and so this year we will be lighting the Kwanzaa Menorah beginning on December 26. Soon I will begin my Kwanzaa research so that we do it right. I love rituals, even if I don't connect with them spiritually. I like lighting candles and I like saying chanty things, and I like having friends around.

I also like macaroni and cheese.
