The thought that woke me up this morning: "Viagra caused the Holocaust."
* * *
The duration of my walk from the subway to work was consumed with the following inner dialogue:
"Maybe I'll get a coffee on my way to work. No, I'll get one this afternoon. Coffee sounds really good, though, and it'll wake me up some. Nah... I'm awake. Oooh, there's hardly any line at this Dunkin' Donuts. Neh... I don't wanna walk with the coffee that far. Man, I should have gotten a coffee! Oh! I'll get one at that Dunkin! No, the line's too long..."
I think you get my drift. And at the end of the story, I get to the street I work on, walk to the door of the Dunkin' Donuts across the street and decide that I'll just wait until the afternoon to get coffee. And now, as I sit at my desk and type this, I can smell the coffee of the person sitting across from me, and all that I want in life is a cup of coffee.
